Champion Jockeys don't tend to ride many 16/1 winners but that was the case at Navan today as Snap Click won the Gormanlough Handicap, for Pat Smullen with winning trainer Jim Gorman later quipping "it helps having Mr Smullen on board!"
The son of Kodiac was produced to lead a furlong out before staying on well in the closing stages for a length win over Udogo
Curragh based Gorman later stated "the ground in Tipperary was against him and he was back on good ground today. It also helps having Mr Smullen on board!
"We'll keep going as long as we get a bit of good ground and he might go over hurdles as well."
