Mullins/Townend double up at Thurles

Trainer Willie Mullins and his retained second-jockey Paul Townend combined to complete a double at Thurles today when Jessies Dream landed the Thurles Racecourse Maiden Hurdle.

Jessies Dream made all for her eight lengths win, with 8/11f Judge Roy Bean (the fourth losing odds-on chance of the day) falling when beaten at the fourth last.

Afterwards Mullins reported "Jessies Dream did it well and will run in a novice hurdle soon before going to Fairyhouse. He jumps well and I wouldn't be afraid to step him up in trip."
