The Glenfarclas P.P Hogan Memorial Cross Country Race at Punchestown caused somewhat of a surprise when 20/1 shot Another Jewel came home in front under the in-form John Cullen.
Cullen sent the Saddlers’ Hall gelding to the front six from home, the pair were clear from two out and kept on well for a six length win over Gordon Elliott’s Silver Birch
Winning jockey Cullen remarked: “He was brilliant, he was super at the double bank he almost cleared it.”
“I don’t know what Denis’ plans are for this lad. Denis is at a point to point in Cork today.”
