Murtagh's Wisdom proves his undoing

Words Of Wisdom proved strongest in the closing stages to win the day in the Robin Parke Memorial Handicap at Killarney.

Fran Berry produced his mount at the furlong pole to join Printmaker in tackling front-runner Fairylike

Eddie Lynam 's charge found more inside the final furlong to assert in the closing stages and post a half-length victory over 3/1 favourite Printmaker.

The 7/2 winner was following up a success at Leopardstown earlier in the month and was recording his third victory of the season.

"The jockey of the second was a big help!" said Lynam afterwards.

"Johnny (Murtagh) rode him the last day and told us to put cheekpieces on him. It was nice of him to help!

"He's going the right way. Today's race was a tricky little handicap."

"He was a aptly named winner," added Lynam referring to the fact that the race is named in honour of late racing journalist Robin Parke.
