Mutasareb wins Dundalk finale

The concluding Dundalk Stadium Handicap (div 2) at Dundalk this evening went to the Andy Oliver trained Mutasareb under Joseph O’Brien.

A course winner two runs back, the son of Nayef justified 5/2 favouritism who eventually outbattled Imprudent Miss to score a half length win.

Afterwards Oliver said “Joseph gave him a great ride - they were a bit slowly away but otherwise everything went to plan. He’s a fine big strong horse, is very relaxed and takes his racing well. He wants a mile and a half and we’ll see what the handicapper does now before probably coming back here in a few weeks.”
