My Titania justified strong market support, as she took the Group 3 CL Weld Park Stakes under Declan McDonogh for John Oxx and owner Christopher Tsui.

The daughter of Sea The Stars finished second behind the classy Vallado on her first start at Leopardstown in August, and she went one place better on her next outing, again at Foxrock, scoring comfortably by two and a quarter lengths.

Her debut effort came over six furlongs, while her maiden win was over seven, and over seven again this afternoon, she raced in fourth in the early stages.

She travelled best two furlongs from home, and she was sent to the front a furlong and a half out. Chicago Girl for trainer/jockey Johnny Murtagh, was the one to challenge but she couldn’t match her in the closing stages, and she finished a game second at 14/1, just half a length behind.

The front pair went five and a half lengths clear of the third, who was Tarfasha for Dermot Weld and Pat Smullen at 2/1.

The winner was 2/1 last night with Paddy Power, but she was available at just 6/4 this morning, going from 11/8 to 11/10 clear favourite at the off.

John Oxx said afterwards: "That is Sea The Stars first Stakes winner, and I have a couple of more 2yo's by him to appear, but they have had setbacks.

"My Titania is a bit like her father in that she pulls up and doesn’t do a whole lot in front.

"She travelled really well and she has a good turn of foot and stays well. She won’t run again this season.

"She likes fast ground and we were lucky enough to get three nice runs into her for experience.

"All being well we will probably put her in the English Guineas and Oaks next March."

Boylesports go 16/1, from 20’s, about My Titania for the Guineas, while they go 20/1 about her for the Oaks.
