Nina Lands Bumper

Nina Carberry was seen to good effect when landing the George Dunwoody Memorial INH Flat Race at Down Royal aboard Trabajo trained by Shark Hanlon.

Trabajo, having its first run for the trainer, was sent to the front early in the home straight, but was made work hard for victory as a pair of dangers emerged out of the pack entering the final furlong.

Carberry kept the six year old gelding going for a two lengths success.

John 'Shark' Hanlon said afterwards: "This is a fair horse and may not have been 100% today. He is a summer horse and will make a nice hurdler and chaser. He is owned by Corkmen living in Spain and as they are due to come home for Punchestown later in the week he might run there, but I'm not overly keen on the idea at the moment."
