Nine O rolls back the years

Locally based trainer Pat Neville recorded a win at Limerick when his rising 12yo Nine O landed the featured Tim Duggan Memorial Handicap Chase, under Brian Byrnes.

The gelding led from the third last fence, eventually staying on well for an easy nine lengths win.

Afterwards, Neville reported "first time blinkers obviously worked well with Nine O today and he has been a great old servant. He didn't get into the Kerry National last September and was left at the start at Cheltenham last time out. Hopefully he can run in the Irish National some time."
