Rockfish got up late on to give Joseph O'Brien a quick double at Dundalk this evening, making it two winners from two runners for the trainer on the card.

The 12/1 shot was held up by Wayne Lordan in the ten furlong contest and was driven to challenge Chaparral Dream inside the final furlong.

The Fast Company gelding just got the better of that rival in the last few strides to record a head success and complete a 194/1 brace for the trainer.

The winner was stepping up in trip, and wearing blinkers for the first time, on his seasonal debut having been well held in four starts last season.

Lordan said:- “He’d blinkers for the first time, and it was his first time on the track and he enjoyed it.

“He’s probably strengthened up a bit from two to three, and he got the job done.”
