Gearoid O'Loughlin saddles his first two runners at Roscommon this evening and the pair have come in for strong support this morning.

The rookie trainer is running a pre-training operation in Co. Meath for leading owner Chris Jones and the first of his runners, Jarob will carry Jones' colours in the three mile Larry O'Farrelly Memorial H'cap H'dle at 7.20pm.

Eleven-year-old Jarob is a five time previous winner but hasn't tasted success since completing at hat-trick in the Autumn of 2015.

Jarob has shortened in price from 18/1 to 9/1 with all leading bookmakers.

O'loughlin's second runner is a five-year-old newcomer in the concluding Bumper at 8.50pm.

This gelded son of Ask has tumbled in price from opening quotes of 40/1 into 8/1 and less with all the major bookmakers.

O'Loughlin, a Co. Clare native has both ridden and handled Point-to-Point winners and gained experience in the racing yards of Jim Bolger and Enda Bolger. He also rode Home Farm to finish fourth in the 2017 Champion Hunters' Chase at the Punchestown Festival.
