Ma Belle Etoile cruised through a gap up the rail to run out an impressive winner of the concluding bumper at Limerick this afternoon.

Maxine O'Sullivan took the mount on the daughter of Doyen in the two-mile mares event for lady riders.

She produced the John and Thomas Kiely-trained four-year-old to lead on the bridle a furlong-and-a-half from home.

The 5/2 shot was shaken up briefly to assert inside the final furlong, going on to record an easy three-and-a-half length win over Workinonadream

Ma Belle Etoile was making it third time lucky having been placed on her first two career outings.

John Kiely said afterwards:- "She has been improving with each run and while it may have appeared she regressed the last day, that was in a better race and the winner won since.

"She is improving all the time and we'll see how she comes out of the race now."
