Perfect Woman got off the mark over hurdles in fine style when running out an easy winner of the Kilsheelan Mares Maiden Hurdle at Clonmel.

Mikey Butler tracked the leaders on the 7/4 favourite (opened 5/2 on course) in the two-and-a-half mile contest and she jumped into the lead three from home. Table Tips tried to lay down a challenge in the straight but never looked like pegging back the Mick Winters-trained winner who only had to be nudged out on the run-in to record a six-length success.

The winner was bouncing back to form having been pulled up in very testing conditions on her last outing at Listowel in June.

"We've been waiting a long time for that but in fairness she has been consistent all the time and I love horses like that, as your turn will eventually come," said Winters.

"We had been running her on soft ground all along and while she does stay, maybe we were getting it slightly wrong (with the ground). Clonmel have done a beautiful job and the track is fantastic, safe and with no roughness.

"She'll run in a beginners chase next."
