Paddy Kennedy’s move to send Playtime Ben clear of his rivals after jumping the third last paid rich dividends in Division Two of the beginners’ chase at Wexford. Stonemaster and Davy Russell tried to hunt him down, but could only get within two lengths of Davy Fitzgerald's charge at the winning post.

It was a further 13 lengths back to Mattara in third at 20/1 who narrowly beat 5/2 favourite Heaney into fourth by a head.

Playtime Ben’s only other success came in a maiden hurdle at Clonmel in September last year.

He was easy to back from 7/2 this morning out to an SP of 5/1. Heaney was backed at the track from 7/2 down to 5/2.
