One Cool Poet came with a storming run inside the final furlong to land the irishinjuredjockeys.com Handicap at Limerick and five Fran Berry a double on the day.

The Arthur Moore-trained gelding had been well held in three starts as a juvenile but there was some support for him before racing from 14/1 into 8/1 on his handicap debut.

The son of Urban Poet was held up in the early stages before making smooth headway turning for home.

He came with a strong run approaching the furlong pole and got on top inside the final 100 yards to record a length-and-a-quarter success over Pat Harkin

"He did what we were hoping he'd do and is a beautiful model of horse who should make a nice hurdler in time," said Moore.

The winner is owned by the KRBD Partnership who also stand One Cool Poet's stallion Urban Poet.

Part owner Donal Brassil, who stands Urban Poet at Gorteen Stud, added "One Cool Poet is Urban Poet's first runner and first winner."
