Trainer Pat Martin and jockey Fran Berry combined to win the Marshes Shopping Dundalk Handicap at Dundalk tonight with well-backed Rassi Maguire (2/1f from 3/1).
The son of Intikhab was held up towards the rear before making progress to eventually get his head in front a furlong out, for a length win over unlucky-in-running Ain Jalout
Afterwards Martin reported "Rassi Maguire wintered well and has a great attitude. He love that surface and hopefully the handicapper wont be too harsh on him. One mile is probably his best trip but he could make a nice dual purpose horse."
