Reality completes Marnane double

David Marnane completed a quick double when Face Reality claimed the concluding Fillies Races at Tipperary.

The four-runner race looked wide open as they raced to the furlong pole with the quartet in a line.

Pat Smullen came widest after sitting last in the early stages and the American-bred filly proved strongest in the closing stages.

She galloped on strongly to post a length success over Deire Na Sli

"We've always liked her. She was unlucky the first day (for us) and ran badly for some reason last time," said Marnane.

"We freshened her up and she came back very well. She doesn't have to be ridden like that but because she was fresh I wanted to make sure she settled.

"She'll come back here in 13 days time for a Listed race over seven furlongs for fillies. I'm delighted to get a winner for the owners."
