Ningaloo Reef grabbed a last gasp victory in the six furlong handicap at Naas. Theyturnedmedown looked set to make the most of getting in as first reserve but was just pipped on the line.

Seamie Heffernan got a great tune out of the 4/1 favourite inside the final furlong and he just got his head in front where it mattered.

It was second success at the course for Garvan Donnelly's charge, who also sandwiched his two wins with a second here last time.

"It's a lucky track for him and I think he's improving," said Donnelly.

"Seamie was afraid of the draw as he was on the worst of the ground but he tracked across.

"We'll see what the handicapper does and keep him to his grade. We stayed away from Galway as we want to take our time with him. He's such a big horse."
