Triple bumper winner Rory O'Moore gained an overdue second hurdle win at Cork today, winning the Ticket Sales Online Handicap Hurdle for father/son and trainer/jockey Ronnie and Johnny O'Neill.

The 'street-fighting' front runner had managed just one hurdle win, a maiden, from 15 hurdle starts and following today's gutsy win, trainer Ronnie O'Neill stated “it was a nice race to win and my first black-type (Grade C) winner.

“I was worried about his fitness with the ground and stepping up to two and a half miles; he'd struggle to get home over that trip around Naas or Navan.

“He hasn't schooled over fences but I don't see any reason why he wouldn't jump fences. We'll wait until the very good horses have won over fences before sending him over fences after Christmas.

“Johnny gave him a great ride – he's not an easy horse to ride and you have to let him go out in front and Johnny gets on great with him.”
