Russell fined €200 for Downpatrick no show

Dual Champion Jockey Davy Russell has been fined by the Downpatrick Stewards for failing to provide a satisfactory explanation for his failure to present himself for his ride on Coldstonesober at the track today.

Russell, who was fined €200, failed to present himself at scales to be weighed out for his nominated ride on Coldstonesober in the handicap hurdle won by Hero De Villeneuve

In other Turf Club related activity, Robbie Colgan received a two day suspension for using his whip with excessive force and frequency on runner-up Better Back Bob in a maiden hurdle,
