Tom George believes Module will be back to his best at the Cheltenham Festival where he will be aimed at the Ryanair Chase.

Though Module was third to Sire De Grugy in the Queen Mother Champion Chase last year, George feels the horse is no longer effective over two miles after he was well beaten in the Desert Orchid Chase at Kempton over Christmas.

"We are very happy with him now. We've given him a quiet time, we are really building him up and he'll go straight to Cheltenham for the Ryanair," said the Slad handler.

"He had a bit of a blip at the start of the season. He needs further than two miles now.

"We're happy with him and I'm sure he'll be back to himself at Cheltenham."

Module was placed in the Queen Mother Champion Chase in 2014 after winning the Game Spirit Chase at Newbury from Dodging Bullets who is the in-form two-miler this term, winning both the Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown and Ascot's Clarence House Chase.

George decided not to give Module an entry in this year's Game Spirit on Saturday.

"He won that race last year and the form doesn't look too bad now," he said.
