Sally completes Griffin's double

Mikey Fogarty has few peers at present when it comes to winning bumpers and the Wexford pilot was at it again when bringing home Sallyanka in the concluding Loughnagore INH Flat Race to complete a double for her trainer Eoin Griffin at Kilbeggan.

Fogarty donned the Mark McDonagh silks of Don't Be Bitin (now unfortunately ill-fated - killed in a fall in last summer's Galway Plate when Fogarty was in the plate) on Sallyanka and she ran out a decisive winner from Cliff Climber

Griffin, half-an-hour earlier successful with Artiste Bay said of Sallyanka (an early casualty on her only 'points' start): "She is a good tough genuine mare. It wasn't the strongest of races but she couldn't have done it any easier.

"She'll go straight over hurdles now and she'll make a nice summer jumper."

Sallyanka is by Catcher In The Rye, a stallion making a serious impression in the National Hunt ranks for the last while.
