Dazzling Sarah landed a nice touch in the concluding bumper at Down Royal when running out a convincing winner under Danny Benson.

The Pat Fahy-trained mare had been well beaten over timber when last seen at Navan in December.

Better was obviously expected today as she was backed from 25/1 this morning and went to post a 7/1 shot.

The eventual winner was hampered by a hanging Derecho Storm five furlongs from home but soon improved to lead on the inner.

There were five in with chances crossing the road but Dazzling Sarah had the advantage at the furlong marker and saw off Ratoute Yutty in the closing stages for a length-and-a-half success.

"We always thought an awful lot of her but she was so cowardly. In her races she would back off,” said Fahy.

“Katie (Walsh) rode her and said she was very weak and Derek O'Connor rode her and said she was very green. She jumped the road in Punchestown.

"I gave her a run over hurdles to try and make something of her because she wasn't able to show it on the track. That's great today and she got the bonus.

"She is going to be a chaser and I want to go chasing with her sooner rather than later. She might go for a nice hurdle race first."
