Indian Scout was the fifth horse of the night at Dundalk to lose his maiden status when winning the Winter Racing At Dundalk Handicap (div 2) on his second run for trainer Eoin Doyle.

Ridden by Wayne Lordan, the son of Indesatchel moved to the front a furlong out before staying on well to defeat Saint By Day by three parts of a length.

Afterwards Doyle said “Wayne (Lordan) said he stays really well and that an even stronger gallop will suit him better. He’ll make a nice horse over hurdle for the summer.”
