Sexton, Carroll & McGarvey in the wars at Cork

Kevin Sexton, Jody McGarvey and Tim Carroll have been brought to Cork University Hospital following falls at Cork this evening.

In the sixth race McGarvey’s mount Rhienland fell at the fifth flight bringing down Status Update with Kevin Sexton aboard in the process.

Both jockeys have been sent for collarbone x-rays.

Tim Carroll is understood to be suffering from abdominal injuries after his mount, Urban Desert fell at the fourth last in the race won by The Boat People

Ruby Walsh and Paul Townend were both stood down for the evening after falls in the third race from Regusci and Scene Of The Crash respectively.

Both jockeys are understood to be ok.
