The Monsun gelding, who cost €235,000 at Tattersalls Derby sale in 2007, cruised to the front entering the straight and was pushed out to score by two-and-a-half lengths over Augosto
"It's a relief to get him on the track as he was an expensive store," said trainer Edward O'Grady.
"I hope very much he can build on that. Where he goes next I don't know but he would be better on better ground.
"I'd like to think he'll go forward and he could develop into a nice horse some day."
