Silence doubles-up under Jones

Denis Prendergast's Silence Speaks may have got home marginally in a rough race at Wexford last time but it was altogether smoother for the Thurles-trained gelding on this occasion as he prevailed by two lengths in the Ladbrokes.com Handicap Chase at Killarney.

Racing in the familiar silks of Terry Ryan, Robert Jones was always going well on the dual point-to-point scorer, he let his mount lead three out and he was driven out on the run-in to beat Leney Dow Jones

Jones, based with Eric McNamara and riding his 13th winner here, said: "I was always travelling and it was just a matter of getting to the winning post from a fair way out."
