The Robert Murphy trained Silverpockets put her experience to good use as she took the last at Clonmel this afternoon, the Happy Easter To All Our Patrons Mares Bumper.

Ridden by Johnny King, the 6yo daughter of Milan finished tenth behind Behrama in the race last year but after running seven times since she has clearly improved and she made all today to win at 8/1.

Two furlongs out the Tom Cooper trained newcomer Kathy Jer drew menacingly alongside the winner however the Harley Dunne ridden 4yo filly went badly wrong, was quickly pulled up and subsequently put down. Vicky Miller (20/1) then threw down a strong late challenge but the line came just in time for Silverpockets as she scored by just head from the Gordon Elliott trained, David O’Leary ridden runner-up.

The front duo went six and a half lengths clear of Garron Crest (8/1) who finished third under Mikey Fogarty while the 100/30 favourite Velvet Rose was a further half a length back in fourth for Jane Mangan and Christy Donoghue.
