Skip Two Continues to Progress

Dropping in trip with a seven pound penalty and conceding weight to all eight of his rivals, Skip Two gained his third win in a row battling to a length success in a rousing finish to the Guinness Novice Chase.

Barry Cash got the Norwich gelding to the front at the last but he had four of his rivals chasing him up the straight. The 9/1 shot's heart is obviously in the right place and he saw them all off, favourite, Dreamy Gent getting closest, but he found the winner just too determined. Brave Inca's former partner, Cash saluted the crowd crossing the line.

Davy Fitzgerald, the triumphant trainer, said, "He is improving all the time. I was a little bit worried about the trip and the seven pound penalty. He could go for the Kerry National and as he proved there that he comes up the hill he could be a Galway Plate horse for next year."
