Fran Flood Jnr said afterwards, "He had been running well on the flat and I thought he'd a fair shot here. It's good to get a winner and we'll keep him going on the flat and over hurdles as long as there's a dig in the ground. He's big enough to jump a fence too."
The 6/4 favourite Equator of Tony Martin's dropped away from about 3f out and pulled up from over 1 1/2f out.
