The Garvan Donnelly trained Catwilldo gained a fifth career win at Down Royal today, winning the Apple Orchard Handicap under capable seven pounds claimer Killian Leonard.
Each of the daughter of One Cool Cat’s wins have been gained at the minimum five furlong trip and following today’s win, Donnelly stated “she has been knocking on the door all year but hasn't had luck. We've been hitting the crossbar with the horses so it is good to get a winner - they’ve all been in good form and I'm glad she got the job done today.
“There's not really that many races for her; she has only three or four races every year but she runs well in them. We bred her and she has been with us all the years and has a mind of her own."
