The Aidan O'Brien trained Order Of St George remains on course for a tilt at the English St Leger following his long odds on (1/5f) all-the-way win in the concluding Her Majesty's Plate at Down Royal today.

Ridden by the Champion Trainer's son Joseph O'Brien, the son of Galileo made all and stayed on strongly to repel the challenge of Chapter Seven inside the final furlong, for a five and a half lengths win.

Afterwards Joseph O'Brien stated "he did what he was entitled to do and kept it simple. He won snug and will be better when he steps up in trip - he didn't have to improve to win today.

"He definitely could have a run before the Leger but it's not a necessity. He's still a lightly raced, inexperienced horse and has the prospect of making a very nice stayer."

Order Of St George is generally a 14/1 chance for the English St Leger.
