Strong UK Raiding Party Declared at Navan on Sunday

A number of British-trained runners will line up at Navan Racecourse this Sunday where they will present a strong challenge to the home team in the two feature events on a strong eight race card beginning at 2.15pm.

Navan Manager Darren Lawlor said, "Navan is clearly held in high regard by owners and trainers on both sides of the Irish Sea and we are delighted to have attracted such high quality entries for Sunday's feature races, the Listed Navan Sprint Stakes and the Listed Vintage Crop Stakes. This promises to be a fascinating day's racing with the D Nicholls trained Masta Plasta and Abraham Lincoln along with Kevin Ryan's Wi Dud declaring for the Listed Navan Sprint Stakes and they promise to provide a stern test to the Irish trained horses."

"Naturally, Aidan O'Brien's Yeats will be the star of the show and the horse everyone wants to see in the Listed Vintage Crop Stakes but the best of Irish trainers will be taking him on as will two English-trained runners, Hindu Kush from the D Nicholls yard and the Michael Bell trained, The Betchworth Kid."

In addition to the racing, Navan will have a fun filled day of activities for all the family including bouncy castles, go-karts, pony rides and full live coverage from the Premiership as the football season draws to a close.
