Symphony is certainly on song

Henry De Bromhead appears to have a nice sort on his hands in the shape of Sizing Symphony who turned the Bourn Vincent Memorial Park/Killarney Racegoers Club Maiden Hurdle into a procession.

Davy Russell made virtually all on the Sadler's Wells five-year-old which carries the familiar colours of Alan and Ann Potts.

The 9/2 (from 7's) chance asserted before two out and stretched right away on the run-in to beat Rheinland (33/1) by 11 lengths, with Serein (7/2) two lengths further back in third.

De Bromhead said: “The horses are flying and we've hit a vein of form. Before Christmas we thought this was a really good horse and went for the four-year-old bumper at Leopardstown but came home disappointed. He struggled on the ground at Clonmel before running well at Gowran. We put him away with this meeting in mind, and he'll make a real nice horse for this time of the year. We'll hope to keep going through the autumn as his owners like going to the Cheltenham meetings in October and November. But he'll have to prove his worth to go there.”
