Antiphony and Orchard Road had gone well earlier on the programme for Gordon Elliott. The Cullentra House trainer made the breakthrough on Kilbeggan's final card of the year when Tajseer landed the Pat Doyle Memorial Maiden Hurdle under Keith Donoghue.

Never far away, the successful American-bred asserted approaching the straight for his owners Paul and Clare Rooney.

Oft-placed, Tajseer looked a bit idle on the run-in but he did enough to hold Field Robin by a length. Donoghue had lost his whip approaching the last.

"He's been frustrating and it's nice to get another winner for Paul and Clare Rooney," remarked Elliott.

"We're running out of time (this year), although he'll probably be back to the north of England for something."
