Teoleena justified odds-on favouritism as she took the opener at Navan, the Country & Western Evening 3yo Claiming Race, in convincing fashion under Kevin Manning for Jim Bolger.

The daughter of Teofilo got off the mark in a handicap on her seventh start at Gowran last month and she was sent off the 4/6 favourite to follow up this evening.

Having raced in third she made smooth progress on the outer from three furlongs out and once ridden over a furlong from home she quickly asserted, going clear to score easily by three and a half lengths. Love The Feeling was backed from 12/1 to 8/1 on-course and she finished second under Wayne Lordan for Willie McCreery.

Kevin Manning said afterwards: "It was a middling contest and she was entitled to do that. She handles that ground."

The winner could turn out again quickly at Fairyhouse on Sunday as she has been declared to run in a handicap over a mile and a half.
