Jockey Jonathan Burkemaintained his recent hot streak when steering the Tony Martin trained and Gigginstown House Stud owned The Plan Man to win the Kerrymaid Hurdle at Listowel today.

Burke, who was recently appointed rider to high profile Ann and Alan Potts, needed to be at his best on the son of Jeremy who stayed on well in the closing stages for a length and a quarter win over Shamar

Martin wasn't present but afterwards Burke stated “he is a quick horse and quickened all the way up the straight and from the last.”
