Thoughts turn to the Derby

Aidan O'Brien and Ed Dunlop are in a good frame of mind as they prepare to send their respective charges into battle for tomorrow's Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby at the Curragh.

O'Brien is four handed with Memphis Tennessee, Roderic O'Connor, Seville and Treasure Beach whilst Dunlop will send out the Johnny Murtagh ridden Native Khan.

O'Brien said: "They are all in great form and they seem fine after their last outings. It is great to have such a competitive field.

"Seville was a bit like Misty For Me in that things never came together for him at Epsom. I'd say you could put a line through that and he seems well since."

As regards So You Think O'Brien said: "Everything is fine with him. He is a unique specimen and it is easy to get excited about him. We're looking forward to his next run."

Meanwhile Ed Dunlop is hoping the ground continues to improve for Native Khan and he said: "It is sunny and windy and hopefully the ground continues improving.

"We didn't run Snow Fairy on it but it would have been her first run of the year. It is the only other chance for Native Khan to run in a Derby.

"Johnny said if he'd known him he'd have ridden him closer at Epsom."
