Todd justified favouritism as he won the Follow Limerick Racecourse on Twitter 3yo Handicap under Connor King for trainer John Joseph Murphy.

The three-year-old son of Gentlewave finished second on his last start at Dundalk over a mile and stepped up to a mile and three furlongs this afternoon, he was sent off the 7/2 favourite.

The bay gelding hit the front with over a furlong left to race but he stuck to his task well and despite giving his tail a swish inside the final furlong he kept on best to win by two lengths. Sweet Refusal ran a fine race to finish second at 20/1 under Shane Foley for Michael Mulvany while the Jim Bolger trained Sceilg was a further three lengths back in third at 6/1 under Kevin Manning.

John Joseph Murphy said afterwards: "He got a lovely ride and he (Connor King) is a really good kid. I was concerned about the ground but I knew the step up in trip would suit. He will be better on better ground."
