Narrowly beaten in the 'boys race' at Cheltenham last year before running down the field in this year's renewal, Toner D'Oudairies landed his first race since December 2010 when triumphing in the Follow Us On Twitter @fairyhouse Beginners Chase.

For anyone on the previous course winner at 5/4, this was enjoyable viewing as Davy Russell's (who now leads Ruby Walsh by 99 to 91 in his bid to be Champion Jockey again) mount led two out on his way to a comfortable five length dismissal of Dul Ar An Ol

"He's a long time waiting to win a race. We thought he'd win at Cheltenham two years ago but he got beat.

"Now that he's got his head in front we'll keep him going in summer novices," commented winning trainer, Gordon Elliott in the aftermath. (GC & EM)
