The Liz Doyle trained Tabac Brun overcame a stuttering start to his racing career when winning the concluding Tramore Racecourse 1912 - 2012 Centenary Ladies Bumper at Tramore today, at his first attempt in a bumper.

The French bred son of Dom Alco failed to get past 'f' in his three previous point to points starts and left behind those 'fff' form figures to score, under Lisa O'Neill, a length and three parts win over Breaking Bits

Afterwards Doyle stated “Tabac Brun has a nice pedigree and is a half brother to seven or eight winners. He is a handy enough horse and we decided to run him in a Bumper to sweeten him up.

“Lisa (O'Neill) has plenty of experience in the Fegentri Series in the last few years and has ridden plenty of winners abroad; she is excellent value for her 7lbs claim.”
