Gordon Elliott sent three horses to Tipperary today and all three returned home victorious as Monbeg Notorious powered away from the remainder in the concluding bumper.

Elliott's record in jumps races at Tipperary from 2012 had been two from 29 before today but his winning percentage at the track improved markedly after this treble.

The 8/11 favourite swept round round the outside into the lead with over three furlongs to go in this two and a half mile contest.

The five-year-old travelled strongly for Jamie Codd, in the Gigginstown colours, entering the straight.

He was shaken up to draw clear coming to the furlong pole and increased his advantage all the way to the line. The winning margin was 15 lengths from Indrik (10/1) who got up for second from Gigginstown's other runner Clara Sorrento (4/1).

Gordon Elliott said: "He's a nice big honest horse but won't be a horse until he jumps a fence next season. We won't run him in another bumper and will go jumping hurdles now.

"I liked him and thought he was nice today but he is a big chaser in the making."
