Godolphin's Tribal Beat put in an impressive display at Naas when romping home by five lengths in the juvenile maiden for colts and geldings.

The 5/1 shot travelled powerfully on the shoulder of Precious Gold before he was pushed along by Kevin Manning to lead narrowly two and a half furlongs out.

He was ridden to assert outside the furlong marker and galloped away for a comfortable success. Short Stacked kept on nicely for second at 8/1, backed in from 14s on opening show. He was a 20/1 chance in the morning.

Precious Gold was a further two lengths down in third at 33/1.

Kevin Manning said: "He had a very good run here the last day and I thought he would improve for it. I wasn't overly concerned stepping back to six, he has plenty of pace.

"It was disappointing he got beat the first day but maybe in hindsight he was a bit raw and a bit weak. He's developed into a fine horse. He has done well today and I'm very, very pleased with him.

"When I asked him to quicken at the two pole it was all over in a matter of strides. He got seven and got it well here the last day. He's not short of pace and never was."

Jim Bolger added: "That's what we were expecting on day one but it has taken a while to get it. I'm not sure if he will run again this year as I didn't look beyond today but I'd say he'll get a mile.

"The ground doesn't really matter to him. He just got it all together today."

Tribal Beat got off the mark today at the fourth attempt. On debut he was a beaten favourite in fourth behind State Of Emergency at the Curragh.
