The 6yo mare Broadway Twist ran out a surprise 25/1 winner of the Diageo Ireland sponsored Punchestown Charity Sweepstakes under Crossabeg, Co Wexford rider Elizabeth Turner who rides out for winning trainer Liz Doyle.
Having just her fourth start on the racecourse, the daughter of Broadway Flyer quickened up well in the home straight to record a three and three parts of a length victory from Mark Durning and Kitts Delight in second also at 25/1.
The popular contest saw twenty-one novice riders take part this year raising money for the Punchestown Kidney Research Fund.
