On her twelfth career start Rigoletta finally got off the mark as she took the Security & Emergency Services Forum Maiden for 3 and 4yo's only.
Trained by Jim Bolger, the 3yo daughter of Teofilo ran six times last year as a 2yo but failed to shed her maiden tag.
On her sixth start as a 3yo this afternoon, the 74 rated filly chased the leaders in the early stages and was fourth at the halfway stage.
She was ridden into second a furlong and a half from home before staying on well to lead a furlong out and she kept on well from there to score by two and a quarter lengths at the line.
The Tommy Carmody trained Spirituality who is rated 79, hit the front two furlongs out but could offer no more when headed by the winner and had to settle for second under Ben Curtis. Khyber Pass for Eddie Lynam and Fran Berry finished three and a quarter lengths back in third at 8/1.
Spirituality opened the 13/8 favourite with Paddy Powers this morning but drifted out to his opening show on course of 3/1 before being returned at 7/2.
Rigoletta opened at 5/2 with Paddy Powers this morning and after opening at 3/1 on course she touched 7/2 and was returned the 5/2 favourite.
Winning rider Kevin Manning said afterwards: "She has been knocking on the door but kept running into one.
"She did it well and she handles that surface well."
The winner is a half-sister to Danelissima (also trained by Bolger) who won the Group 3 Noblesse Stakes at Naas in 2004.
