Twistsandturns swooped on the outer to open his account in the seven-furlong handicap at Naas this afternoon.

Danny Grant drove his mount into contention inside the final furlong and he got up close home to score by half length victory over Millington Recent Galway scorer Botanical Lady (2/1f) attempted to make all but was collared in the closing stages and finished third.

The Pat Flynn-trained winner was sent off a 12/1 shot have been well held on his two previous handicap outings.

“That was great. I trained the mother who won five for us. The Cooney's have been great customers for years and always have four or five with me,” said Flynn.

“He's a lovely horse but is still a bit weak. I was worried about the draw but he overcame it. Danny said they went too fast and came back to him.”
