There will be two happy trainers after the victory of Abby Cadabby in the ten furlong handicap at Clonmel.

The winner is under the care of Andy Oliver but is owned by Ger Lyons' wife Lynne.

Chris Hayes drove his mount into the lead over two furlongs from home and the 16/1 shot repelled the challenge of Empress Torah in the closing stages to record a half length success.

The daughter of Jeremy was making her first handicap start having been well held in three maiden outings.

“She's a nice filly. She travelled well and she quickened up well,” said Hayes.

“She'll probably get further. Andy was a bit worried about her mark, that it might be a bit high.”

The jockey also quipped:- “It's nice to get my first winner for Ger Lyons for 10 years!”
