Ufallya scores for McConnell/Foley

Apprentice jockey Shane 'Dusty' Foley moved onto the 21 winner mark for the season when partnering Ufallya to win the Killarney Rugby Club Development Fund Handicap at Killarney today.

The win leaves Foley four winners behind jockey Gary Carroll, who had bigger fish to fry at York today, (25 v 21) at the head of the Apprentice Jockeys' Championship

Afterwards Ufalllya's Curragh based trainer John McConnell reported “the job is now done with Ufallya as she is partially owned by her breeder Rory O'Brien (involved in the Ufallya Syndicate) and he can now breed from her.”

He added “Ufallya probably wants better ground and handled this track much better than at Ballinrobe the last day. She should make a nice four year old but may be kept for breeding instead.”
