Urano took the feature race of the season at Wexford, the Listed M.W Hickey Memorial Chase, scoring under Danny Mullins for his uncle Willie.

Having went down narrowly in the Kerry National at Listowel last month the son of Enrique since finished seventh in the Munster National at Limerick.

Sent off the 5/4 favourite today he raced mainly in third with stable companion Indevan leading the way.

He came through to dispute on the outer after three out and as they turned for home his only danger was Gold Patrol

He had a good battle with that rival in the straight and only got on top after the last, going on to score by a length and a half.

Gold Patrol, who was sent off the outsider of the field at 6/1, ran a fine race to finish second under Sean Flanagan for Colin Bowe.

The front two went thirty-six lengths clear of Archie Meade in third while Indevan was another thirty-five lengths back in last.

Danny Mullins, who was recording his sixth win of the year at Wexford, said afterwards: "The jump at the last won it for me.

"He has plenty of good form without getting his head in front that much but it is nice to see him doing that and hopefully he can move on again from here.

"He was just beaten in the Kerry National and maybe a good jump at the last would have helped Paul a lot there."
