Champion jockey Ruby Walsh recorded a quick double this afternoon after winning the Magners Cider Maiden Hurdle aboard 11/4 shot Essifer from the Colin McBratney stable.
Winning trainer McBratney stated afterwards, “Ruby gave him a top class ride, it was ride of the week for me. Everything going well we’ll go for the Galway Blazer’s on the Saturday of the festival but the ground has to be good to firm.”
