The easy to backed Solar Wave recorded her second victory of the season, as she battled gamely to win the Become A Member At Fairyhouse Nursery Handicap.

Successful on her fourth start at Gowran last month, the Jim Bolger trained daughter of Vocalised since finished third behind My Silver Nails at the Curragh.

Installed the 5/2 market leader in early shows, she prove easy to back, touching 13/2 on-course before going off a 6/1 chance under Kevin Manning.

Prominent throughout on the inner, the bay victor got to the front and was ridden over two furlongs from home.

She was strongly pressed and joined with over a furlong left to race, however she battled back gamely in the closing stages to prevail by a head.

The well-backed favourite Daliyah (13/2 to 9/2 on-course) finished second under Colin Keane for Ger Lyons, while Castrogiovanni was another length and a half back in third for Seamie Heffernan and Joseph O'Brien.

"She's very gutsy and we might look at the Birdcatcher with her," said Bolger.

"She didn't lick it off the street as she's out of a Galileo mare who had some training problems."
